Easy gardening indoors all year round!
The other day I came home to find that my basil had literally grown 2" overnight!
The smell of burnt basil was strong in my kitchen as I peeked under the hood to find a few leaves of the purple basil touching the grow bulbs - it smelled like someone had already been cooking before I got home, and made me hungry for pasta.
So I plucked them and used them in some red pasta sauce (after clipping off the burnt parts) and they were just as tasty as the "unburned" leaves.
I'm glad I wasn't gone for a whole weekend, though. I can't believe how fast it grows. Guess I'll be making lots of Italian food...
