Noisy Pump
One of the other problems an AeroGarden can encounter is a noisy pump - it's pretty much the ONLY moving part, so it makes sense that it can eventually wear out. Cleaning out the pump will usually reduce the sound. AeroGrow Customer service says that this will NOT void your warranty.
Roots and nutrients are the culprit here, so keeping them out of the pump will keep it happy! Check your filter often for clumps of roots and nutrients - wash out out and replace it.
If you don't have a filter, make one from a green scrubby pad (the kind without soap) but don't run your AeroGarden too long without a filter!
