Interesting thread about water. I was confused myself, and when I went to their website I found this, that explains the whats, whys and why not's in some
I was lamenting about only having frech lettuce, herbs, chives, and tomatoes from may garden during the long fall-winter-spring parts of the year. The refrigerated stuff from the grocery store goes bad right away and does not taste as good as the fresh stuff from the garden, either. Then I saw a Tim

What has anyone's experience been with transplanting mature plants from the Aerogarden to regular containers? I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like there would be a real shock to the transplants. Any hints on getting the plants adjusted to the new growing conditions?
As it turns out, I’m an amateur genealogist. This fact is easy to over look because I am an ... in the form of the AeroGarden Indoor Garden Appliance. Right - it’s a garden AND a gadget! Cimg1834 After
Oy. So Aerogrow sent me a new seed kit because my old one wasn't growing very well, and I thought all was right with the world. The new salad greens seemed to be growing much faster than the first time around. But then last night, all the sudden it started making a weird noise.
I called customer service this morning, and they told me about the online directions to clean out the pump. I did what it said, and I
thought it was going to fix it, because a few pieces of broken up nutrient tabs came out. But no dice.
When I looked inside the pump, it looked like maybe it had sucked up a little piece of plastic or something, that had melted in there. I tried to get it out, and a little piece came off, and it seems like the noise is a little better now, but it's still loud. I can't get the rest of the plastic out of there.
But anyways - the good news is that Aerogrow customer service is AMAZING. I've never dealt with such nice customer service people. They are mailing me a new pump, so hopefully that will fix the problem.
In the meantime, I'm going to try to deal with this noisy pump, but she said that if I absolutely can't stand it, I can turn the pump off, and hand water the plants a few times a day. Hopefully I can just put it in the garage if it gets too loud.
So yeah. I just thought I'd post in case anyone else has had a similar issue? It looks like a melted black and white piece of plastic in where the impeller goes. Anyone know how to get it out?
Oh Yeah! I'd amassed quite an impressive number of points through my credit card rewards programs so I decided to cash in. This is what I ended up getting: AeroGarden! Even if you've never had a green thumb, you’ll be able to produce a lush, beautiful garden with ease, right
[IMG ]AeroGarden is cool as heck. It's a total rip-off, but something about growing tomatoes in the wintertime is appealing. $179 for the thing, and $15 for 3 measly seeds. Regardless, it gets three thumbs up from me. You get to teach the kids about how we get our food, learn about hydroponics (or aeroponics, depending upon who you ask) and watch plants grow at about twice the speed or more compared to ones you planted in soil. Plus, you only have to feed/water it once every two weeks. Too cool

I harvested basil from my Aerogarden and used it along with prosciutto and cream cheese.

Well, like many people online, I gather from what I've been reading, ... , and tried to talk myself out of it, but I've finally given up and given in. I bought an AeroGarden ... , although the AeroGarden work load's about a third of that for an aquarium. (And, one doesn't usually eat
